BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON SOCIAL CAMPAIGN
To celebrate back to school season, we took to the streets to interview people about their high school experience in hopes of inspiring students and educators to rethink the new school year.
WHAT IS XQ: THE SUPER SCHOOL PROJECT?
Funded by The Emerson Collective (Laurene Powell Jobs’ philanthropic empire), Theh XQ Institute is a non-profit organization that put out an open call across America to rethink what a high school can and should look like back in 2015. After receiving hundreds of applications from teams of educators, parents, and students from different communities throughout all 50 states, The XQ Institute awarded ten applicants $10 million each to build out their ideas, creating America's first "Super Schools".
THE CHALLENGE
These ten winning schools are essentially the "product," but at the time we were tasked with creating content for XQ, these schools didn't exist yet.
THE SOLUTION
Listen to what's happening in the world and the education community, and find ways to inject the stories and POV of individuals we met while traveling across the country with XQ into the conversation.
